Von B107/Chemnitztalstraße links abbiegen auf B107/Müllerstraße, nach 300 m rechts abbiegen auf Straße der Nationen, nach 900 m rechts abbiegen auf Richard-Tauber-Straße, dort ist nach links die Einfahrt in die Tiefgarage Theaterplatz ausgeschildert.
Eine Tiefgarage mit 175 frei verfügbaren Parkplätzen befindet sich unter dem Theaterplatz, die Einfahrt liegt an der Richard-Tauber-Straße. Der "Operntarif" beträgt dort 3,00 Euro; für diesen Betrag kann das Fahrzeug von einer Stunde vor Vorstellungsbeginn bis eine Stunde nach Vorstellungsende abgestellt werden.
Das Opernhaus Chemnitz verfügt über insgesamt sechs Rollstuhlplätze im Parkett und den Rängen. Rollstuhlfahrer erreichen barrierefrei den Haupteingang und über das Foyer das Parkett, über den Fahrstuhl an der linken Seite die Ränge. Wer Hilfe benötigt, wendet sich an das Servicepersonal vor Ort.
