Von Altenburg Hauptbahnhof verkehren dorthin ebenfalls alle Buslinien.
Aus Richtung Gera:
Über die Schmöllnsche Landstraße (B7) nach Altenburg kommend, am „Goldenen Pflug“ rechts abbiegen und der Lindenaustraße bergab folgen. Nach ca. 800 m biegen Sie rechts in die Bachstraße ab und nach wiederum 100 m rechts in die Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße (am Pauritzer Teich). Nach wenigen Metern können Sie das Theater auf der rechten Seite sehen. Dieser Anfahrtsweg ist in der Stadt auch ausgeschildert.
Aus Richtung Leipzig:
Über die Leipziger Straße (B93) nach Altenburg kommend immer geradeaus, über die Gabelentz- und Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße bis zum Theaterplatz dem Straßenverlauf folgen.
Gerne dürfen Sie Ihr Fahrzeug auf dem Theaterparkplatz abstellen. Das Vorderhauspersonal entwertet Ihr Ticket, dann kostet Sie die Parkplatzgebühr nur 0,50 EUR. Darüber hinaus empfehlen wir das Parken in der naheliegenden Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße direkt am Pauritzer Teich oder am Keplerplatz unterhalb des Schlosses. Dort beträgt die Parkgebühr 0,60 EUR pro Stunde bis 20:00 Uhr.
Der Theatersaal in Altenburg verfügt über vier Rollstuhlplätze. Rollstuhlfahrer erreichen das Haus barrierefrei über einen Seiteneingang mit Treppenlift, der schnell von den zwei behindertengerechten Stellplätzen auf dem Theaterparkplatz erreichbar ist. Bei Ankunft am Seiteneingang können Gäste dann einfach die für Rollstuhlfahrer leicht erreichbare Klingel an der rechten Türseite betätigen. Das Vorderhauspersonal hilft Ihnen gerne weiter und bringt Sie zu den barrierefreien Plätzen im Saal. Der Einlass über den Seiteneingang erfolgt frühestens eine Stunde vor Beginn der Vorstellung.
