David J, the legendary co-founder of Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, returns to Berlin for an exclusive and intimate live performance.
Occupying a singular place in alternative music history, David J has spent over four decades pushing artistic boundaries—from helping define the sound of post-punk with Bauhaus to achieving worldwide success with Love and Rockets. As the lyricist behind the timeless gothic anthem “Bela Lugosi’s Dead,” he helped shape an entire generation of alternative music.
This special Berlin concert offers a rare opportunity to experience David J in an intimate setting, performing songs that span his extraordinary career. Alongside iconic classics from Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, he will present highlights from his acclaimed solo catalogue as well as new material from his forthcoming double album, Postcards From The Afterlife—an ambitious, orchestral work exploring themes of love, memory, loss, and transformation.
Joining him as special guest is Paul Wallfisch (ex-Swans), the acclaimed American pianist, composer, and performer whose collaborations with Lydia Lunch, Botanica, and numerous avant-garde projects have earned him a reputation as one of the most compelling live performers on the international alternative scene.
